Day 2 Glog

Today we learned how to use glogster. I really enjoyed the website and I am excited to finish my glog. As soon as we started making out glogs I knew I wanted to have animation and make it as interactive as possible. I can't wait to see what glogs my classmates created!

Day 2 Computer Lab

Last time in the computer lab we were introduced to the use of wordle and how you can use them in the classroom. I really like learning new technology that  I can in return apply in the classroom. I feel any materials that can better a lesson are always beneficial to learn about. For today's class, after watching the introduction video, I want to learn more how to create interactive glogs. In the video, the use of glogster seemed to really engage the students into the lesson and this is similar to how I would like my lesson to be taught.

End of Day 1

Today we learned how to make a worlde. I really enjoyed this because it was a great way to layout important vocabulary words that students might have to read or understand for a lesson. My partner and I will be using the book "The Giving Tree" and I liked how the wordle almost looked like a tree with branches of words. I enjoyed learneing more technology and can't wait to apply it to my lessons!!!

Day 1 in Computer Lab

Today I was excited to go to the computer lab so that I can better my technology skills for teaching. I feel since technology is so advanced it is important for all teachers to be familiar with all the new advances. The Internet can be a terrific resource for interactive lessons and a great resource for your students. I truly believe if information is presented to you in a fun and interesting way, more can be retained.

Bulletin Board

GROUND HOG'S DAY
WILL HE SEE HIS SHADOW?

This bulletin board is to be used for Ground Hog's Day. The idea is that students would predict if the ground hog would see his shadow or not. This can be used for a lesson about predictions and outcomes. The flowers have students' names written on them that voted the ground hog would not see his shadow and that spring would come early. The snowflakes have the students' names that predicted the ground hog would see his shadow, resulting in 6 more weeks of winter. After ground hog's day, this can also be used to analyze results. The teacher and students could go over whose predictions were the same as the results. Overall, this bulletin board can be a great teaching tool and also is a great way to decorate for the holiday.
